The park route begins with displays of typical huts built by different ethnic tribes from around the island, intermingled with various caged animals, many of which are unique to Madagascar.
Relics on display in a museum include a skeleton of the [[Aepyornis]], the now extinct elephant bird that once roamed the island. A small lake and a garden restaurant can be found at the centre of the park, which is a very nice and peaceful spot in the capital, which includes a small garden restaurant. The latter part of the route includes several families of lemurs.
