The park route begins with examples of typical houses as built by different ethnic groups in different regions of the country, intermingled with various enclosures with animals, many of which are unique to Madagascar.

Various relics are on display in a museum building, such as a skeleton of the Aepyornis, the now extinct elephant bird that once roamed the island. A small lake at the centre of the park is a very nice and peaceful spot which includes a small garden restaurant. The latter part of the route includes several families caged lemurs.

Guides at the entrance offer to accompany visitors while explaining the various exhibits, for which they expect a tip at the end of the walk.

A souvenir shop and a restaurant is located at the entrance.
