Activities include a visit to a vanilla plantation and one of the many processing facilities to learn about traditional vanilla production, a guided tour of the [[Soavoanio]] coconut plantation, a visit to Antogopahitra (a small boat across the creek leaves behind Maison Ravilo Ravelo at Antaimby).

Every Friday, there is an extended market with various clothing stands appearing on the road between the central taxi-brousse station Madame Dolorosy statue and the beach. Every Sunday starting early afternoon close to [[Las Palmas|Las Palmas Hotel]] there is a big beach party including dance competitions and occasionally [[Moraingy]] tournaments.

A domestic airport is located approximately 2km from the town centre with flights connecting [[Antananarivo]], [[Toamasina]] (Tamatave), [[Maroantsetra]] and [[Diego Suarez]]. Scheduled flights are operated by [[Air Madagascar|Tsaradia]] and occasionally [[Madagasikara Airways]].
