Leaving Antananarivo and flying to Mahajanga on the northwest coast of Madagascar. From there departure to Ankarafantsika National Park (2.5 hours drive). Arrival at the hotel. When the sun sets, night walk with local guide around the park to search for nocturnal animals including lemurs, frogs, chameleons and geckos.

Day visit to Ankarafantsika National Park. The 130,000ha large park is covered by dry deciduous forest and very rich in wildlife. There are eight species of lemurs living in the park, the diurnal Coquerel's sifaka and Brown lemur, as well as the nocturnal Mongoose lemur, Western woolly lemur (or Avahi), Milne-Edwards's sportive lemur, [[Fat-tailed dwarf lemur]] and Grey mouse lemur. It is very hard to find the Golden-brown mouse lemur, one of the world’s smallest primates. This park is also abundant in reptiles, such as the Rhinoceros chameleon with its enlarged nasal,
Oustalet's Chameleon (or Malagasy giant chameleon) - one of the world's largest chameleon species, Madagascar giant day gecko, Fish-scale gecko, Plated leaf chameleon, Decary's leaf chameleon, Giant Malagasy hognose snake and Madagascar ground boa.<br>

This region is also very famous for bird watching including the [[Van Dam's vanga]], [[Rufous vanga]], White-headed vanga, Chabert's vanga, Red-tailed vanga, Red-capped coua, Coquerel's coua, Madagascar crested ibis, Madagascar buttonquail, Frances's sparrowhawk and [[Madagascar sparrowhawk]]. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
