The Joseph RAMANANDRAIBE Group founded in 1927 is now in its third generation.Joseph RAMANANDRAIBE (1900 - 1973) was merchant as well as a leader of the Protestant Church in Madagascar for many years assuming the role of Treasurer for the "Isan'Enimbolan'Imerina", the Protestant organization whose missionaries as done much work to convert the population of coastal areas in Madagascar into Evangelism. While the estate patrimony left behind by Mr. Joseph RAMANANDRAIBE Ramanandraibe was primarily real estate, the second generation had already made a breakthrough in industry (the Malagasy company HedgesSociété Malgache de Couvertures, [[Chocolaterie Robert]]) but , though its main business was primarily trading in major exports, such as coffee, vanilla, clovesclove, spices, essential oils etc.RAMANANDRAIBE EXPORT In those days, Ramanandraibe Exportation collected and exported these its products through 10 agencies spread located along the Malagasy coast.Today, the third generation has returned to the land coastal areas of planting cacao, ylang-ylang and the cultivation of vegetables for export etcMadagascar.The entire Group led by Joseph RAMANANDRAIBE is now chaired by Marcel RAMANANDRAIBE.The companies within the Joseph RAMANANDRAIBE Group include:
