* 21 March 2020: Three cases of corona infected passengers are detected arriving on two separate flights on 17th and 8th March from France. These passengers and in treatment while all passangers on the same flight are in quarantine. Schools around the country are ordered to suspend lessons for 14 days. * 20 March 2020: Madagascar closes its borders for incoming and outgoing passenger air travel.** According to Hotels on [[Nosy Be]], close and many hotel workers loose their jobs, resulting in a wave of crime on the island which normally rely on tourism board, . Tourism Minister announces to a group of hotel operators that the travel ban will last be for 90 days (, previously reported to be 30 days) in media.
