The Ambohijatovo Park, also called Analakely Park, is located in the centre of Antananarivo. The park was developed by the Urban Commune and is shaded by large eucalyptus, jacaranda and casuarina trees. In 1987 the ''Stele of March 29'' has been erected on the southern entrance of the park in memory of the disappeared during the insurrection of 1947.

A monument outside the park is dedicated to the Christian martyrs which have been burned alive in Faravohitra, thrown off the hill Tsimihatsaka or executed in Ambohipotsy in 1847.
