Arivonimamo (or Arivonimamy) is a town with about 22,000 inhabitants close to and about 45km west of [[Antananarivo]] along the RN1 national route. Madagascar's international airport was once located in Arivonimamo until replaced by [[Ivato]] international airport in 1967. Arivonimamo now serves as an international standby airport.
