The Mikea live in the dry forests and arid steppes northeast of [[Toilara]] in the southwest of Madagascar in the region of the [[Ihotry]] lake. They are a small volk of nomades and mainly feed on roots ([[babou]]). Until today, the Mikea people have preserved a life an own lifestyle without any constraints.
