Moringa is part of the Malagasy daily diet that provides an important source of nutrients to the Malagasy people. The Malagasy name for Moringa in the north is Anamorongo while in the highlands it's better known as Ananambo.

Moringa powder can simply be sprinkled onto salads, vegetables, blended into juices etc. Moringa can enhance learning and memory functions. In Madagascar, Moringa is usually boiled and and mixed with rice and meat. Its highest nutritinal benefits are best maintained when uncooked.
