The hotel guest house is named after the many huge Jacarandi large [[Jacaranda tree|Jacaranda trees ]] which grow around the lake [[Lake Anosy]] and in the presidential garden. Throughout October and November the trees bloom in bright purple colour.

The rooms of the informal hotel are clean and well-kept, with single or double beds, a desk and a television. Some rooms have private bathroom/WC, others shared toilet and shower.
