Nosy Lonja

Nosy Lonja, or Sugarloaf Island, is the small island in Diego Bay that symbolises Diego Suarez. It is considered by locals fady to visit, it is said that death will follow if you step ashore. So there are no buildings or people living there.
The picture of the island appears on the 100 Ariari banknotes.
