Navana can be only reached is the last village accessible by boatbefore heading into the wild direction Antalaha. Starting in Maroantsetra, it is also possible to reach Navana by foot or even bicycle or foot. The nearest town is MaroantsetraAfter a 90-minute pleasant pirogue ride along small streams and canals one arrives in Andranofotsy.  Navana is From there on a very long stretched village good path named "Route National 5" follows the coastline of the bay with sandy roadsnice views onto the ???island. Thereafter the path cuts into the forest passing the private park of???.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::Navana is a very long stretched village with many well stocked shops, small market and a larger school. The scenery around the village is dominated by rice fields and banana trees. People make their living from farming and fishing. At the sandy beach of Navana are several large granite boulders, similuar to the beaches of the Seychelles.
