The banners displayed here appear in the left column below the navigations items on all pages of the wiki in a random order and therafter alternate every 15 seconds with a blending transition.
The set up procedure for new banners is detailed below:
- Create image in GIMP 147x85
- File:Banner template.xcf
- Paste in background
- Select all
- Select -> Rounded Rectangle -> Radius (12%)
- Unselect top-left, bottom-left and right.
- Copy background
- Paste new layer
- Add text or move text on top. Sans Bold 13 / hinting and antialiasing. Position 6 pixels down if on top and 4 pixels up if on bottom.
- Save as xcf/png/jpeg/gif
- Add to to array in MediaWiki:Common.js (image/link-target/preload)
