Madagascar is world renowned for its fine and valuable gem stones. L'Univers de la Pierre, meaning Universe of the Stone in French, is a fine gems store and showroom in Tulear, southern Madagascar, which dispays a rare collection of precious and semi-precious gems particular to the region.

Included on display are rubies, sapphires, emeralds, aquamarine, tourmaline etc. Next to the showroom, a team of highly skilled Malagasy gem cutters are available to create custom jewelry within 24 hours notice, ideal for a special gift and memory of your time in southern Madagascar.


Opening hours: Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm. Saturdays from 9am until ??pm. Closed lunch from ?? to ??.
