To avoid using a graphic application, uploading images in the original size how they come out straight from the camera is Ok too, but depending on your internet connection speed and the size of the images, they may take longer to transfer.

To batch upload even images, first transfer then the the images via FTP to for example /tmp/import_images
Log in by shell, su root and set the server environment variable to:
SERVER_NAME=www.madacamp.com<br>
php importImages.php /tmp/import_images --user=CampMaster -comment="MadaCamp photos"
