To add and use your own images, first [[Special:Userlogin| sign up]] and thereafter click on the [[Special:Upload|Upload file]] link in the toolbox on the left, which allows uploading a single image at the time. Note that the link does not appear for site visitors who are not logged in.
You can repeat the procedure for more than one image or upload multiple images via the multi-image upload link, detailed below.
