Note: Not only Google News offer RSS feeds but many major as well as niche portals do. Wherever you see the familiar RSS button, it should be for a compatible news feed that can be displayed on any page as described above. == Images Uploading a single images == To add and use your own images, first sign up and thereafter click on the Upload file link in the toolbox on the left, which allows uploading single image at the time. Note that the link does not appear for site visitors who are not logged in. == Uploading multiple images == For more than one image, there is also a Upload multiple files link for uploading up to five images at the time. A recommended image site is minumim 1500 pixels height or width. Many digital cameras produce images in different sizes, which often have the aspect ratio 4:3. Almost all images come out larger than 1500 pixels in width or height, which can be uplaoded too but may take longer. If scaling an wider than tall (landscape format) image with a 4:3 aspect ratio from some larger size down to 1500 pixels, it should become 1500 pixels width and 1125 pixels height. Or in case of a taller than wide image (portrait format) the resulting size will be 1125 width and 1500 pixels height. These are just suggested sizes and formats, but different cameras will product different sizes and aspect ratios and all can be uploaded. == Uploading many more images via FTP == To batch upload images, first transfer then via FTP to for example /tmp/import_images Log in by shell, su root and set the server environment variable to: SERVER_NAME=www.madacamp.com<br>export SERVER_NAME Within ~/wiki/maintenance/ run:  php importImages.php /tmp/import_images --overwrite --user=CampMaster -comment="MadaCamp photos" More info, see php importImages.php --help == Displaying images ==
