* 21 March 2020: Three cases of corona infected passengers are detected arriving on two separate flights on 17th and 8th March from France. These passengers and are in treatment while and all passangers on the same flight are in quarantine. Schools around the country are have been ordered to suspend lessons for 14 days.
* 20 March 2020: Madagascar closes its borders for incoming and outgoing passenger air travel. Hotels on [[Nosy Be]], close and many hotel workers loose their jobs, resulting in a wave of crime on the island which normally rely on tourism. Tourism Minister announces to a group of hotel operators that the travel ban will be for 90 days, previously reported 30 days in media.
