''Location:'' 15km from Ambanja on the Andoharano road.
''History:'' Formerly, a great tree called Dimaka (Tahinaspectabilis''Tahina spectabilis'') was at the centre of the village. It was used for shade and became the emblem of the village and the source of its name, which means ''at the foot of the Dimaka''. The tree was struck by lightning in the 1980s.
