There are two major chocolate manufacturers in Madagascar, Chocolaterie Robert and Cinagra. Both companies produce premium quality chocolate made with cocoa grown exclusively in Madagascar.
Cinagra and Chocolaterie Robert are so-called bean-to-bar chocolate makers of single origin, which both grow their cocoa and produce their chocolate in Madagascar.
Additionally, Chocolaterie Colbert offers an upmarket brand of handmade pralines and chocolate bars made by a small team of dedicated chocolatiers at Hotel Colbert's patisserie, using ingredients supplied by Chocolaterie Robert and Cinagra. Pâtisserie Colbert's small volume production is a highly priced but delicious range of chocolates that is available only at Pâtisserie Colbert in Antananarivo.
