Sportive circuit
Day 4: Early start through Masoala National Park. This is last big walk and which takes 4-6 hours. Comparing with previous days, this is the most impressive and adventures trail of all, passing through primary forest making up one of the world's last remaining rainforests that meets directly the ocean front, until Ambodiforaha, the home of Patrick. Have lunch at Masoala Village Lodge. In the afternoon, continue 1-2 hours until reaching your base at Masoala Birding Camp.
Day 5, 6 and 7: Enjoy three full days of discovering nature at leisue leisure in one of the most beautiful spots in Masaoala. With the help of your guide and team at Masoala Birding Camp, you can experience amazing bird watching, combined, with night and day walks, river trips, lemur watching, stars counting... Embrace yourself in a truly natural envorinment from which all species have evolved.
Day 8: Before returning to civilisation, visit Nosy Mangabe for picnic in the morning. Our boat can pass close to the island where flocks of egret (heron) can usually be observed in the canopies along the shore. Allow about four hours to visit the island to try and find the Uroplatus fimbriatus (giant leaf-tailed gecko) and with some luck also spot one of the smallest chameleons in the world. Arrive at your hotel in Maroantsetra. A good bye photo with the Masoala Birding Camp team.
