Tsiafajavona, also known as Tsiafajevona, literaly means where there are always clouds. At 2,642 metres, Tsiafajavona is the third highest summit of Madagascar and the highest part of Ankaratra - a solid mass spread over approximately 100 kilometers.

Various treks lead from Ambatolampy and a hike to the peak can take between half a day to a full day. The area is used as a place of religious worship and is subject to various local fadys.
