Trees planted include the endemic Schizolaena ''viscola'' species with its yellow flowers which between May and December provides a food source to lemurs. Breanadia ''salicina'' and ''Intsia'' trees are planted at river sources to protect the waterways while Albizia ''lebeck'' is planted to improve the forage for grazing livestock.
