Ranomafana is a colonial town located in the hinterlands of Madagascar. From Fianarantsoa it takes about 90 minutes by car to reach Ranomafana.

Ranomafana literally means hot water - rano = water and mafana = hot, referring to the hot springs in the town. Beside the thermal baths the main attraction of Ranomafana is the nearby Ranomafana National Park. Ranomafana offers a good choice of accommodation and restaurants.
