Nosy Lonja, or Sugarloaf Island, is the small island in Diego Bay that symbolises [[Diego Suarez]]. It is considered by locals ''fady'' to visit, it is said that death will follow if you step ashore. So , as such, there are no buildings or people living there.
The picture of the island appears on the 100 Ariari banknotes.
