My name is Nico. I am a local tour guide in Madagascar specialised in Masoala National Park. I remember, when I was a little boy my grandfather used to take me to his cloves, coffee, rice and vanilla plantations. Since that time, I already fell in love with the nature and I'm very thankful to my grandfather as he told me the names of the plants and lemurs, birds, chameleons, snakes and frogs in my Malagasy language.
In those days we only had a primary school in my village, so I obliged to move to the town of Maroantsetra to continue my studies. After I finished my secondary and high school I moved to the capital of Madagascar, Antananarivo, for the university. Luckily the knowledge of the nature taught by my grandfather helped me a lot and I started to work in a hotel as a receptionist. Then I got lots of training to be a tour guide in the Maroantsetra area and finally, in 2007, I became a guide in Masoala National Park.
I worked as a guide together with various travel agencies and lodges in Masoala, sharing my knowledge of wildlife and cultures. Now I would love to offer you different tours in Madagascar, Masoala Peninsula, Nosy Mangabe and Makira Natural Park. RN5 adventure by 4×4, trekking to Cap Est or Tampolo as well as visits to Marojejy National Park, Ankarana National Park, Tsingy de Bemaraha, Baobab Avenue, Isalo National Park, Ranomafana, Andasibe National Park, Canal des Pangalanes and Sainte Marie can be organised, either as group tour, honeymoon trip or for single traveler.
