Madabus, the once efficient inter-city bus service unfortunately stopped operating in 2008. Madasmiles, a Antananarivo based tour operator filled the void in providing regular connections between tourist cities of the south and the east of Madagascar. Sirely, their service must be better than travelling by usually overcrowded and bone-shaking taxi-brousse.
Alternatively, travel by Transpost, the Madagascar postal service buses which doubles as a cross country bus service.
