Madabus, the once efficient inter-city bus service unfortunately stopped operating in 2008. In the meantime, Antananarivo based tour operator Madasmiles has filled the void by providing an option over the usually overcrowded and bone-shaking Taxi-brousses, servicing regular long-distance routes between cities of the south and east of Madagascar.
