Lake Kavitaha - also called Lac Kavitaha - is located west of Antananarivo in the Ampefy area. The small village of Ampefy is situated along the shore of the lake. The village offers several hotels and restaurants and is an ideal destination for day or weekend trips from Tana.

Note: It is not advisable to swim in the lake due to the risk of bilharzia.
