The Joseph Ramanandraibe Group was founded in 1927 and is now in its third generation. Joseph Ramanandraibe (1900-1973) was a merchant and a leading figure of the Protestant Church in Madagascar, for which he served many years as treasurer of the "Isan'Enimbolan'Imerina", an institution within the Church which organised the evangelisation of coastal provinces through its missionaries.
