Ivato International Airport is the main airport of Madagascar, located about 16km from the centre of Antananarivo. Ivato connects major routes in Europe, Asia and Africa.

Ivato has a has an international and domestic terminal located next to each other in the same building. Domestic flights throughout Madagascar are primarily served by Air Madagascar but also by private charter companies, such as STA.

There are various currency exchange services at the airport. Located across from the parking lot and open 24x7 Travel Exchange has offered the best exchange rate in 2010 and 2011 compared to elsewhere, including banks in the city.
