Hotel Malala is located along the main road in the centre of the village Mahalevona. The hotel offers 7 bungalows for reasonable 5.000 Ariary a night/bungalow (2014) and a restaurant. The traditional Malagasy meals are huge and very delicious.

There is no electricity or running water in the village. A large river nearby functions as bathroom and laundrette.
