Hotel Centrale Ankovana offers very basic accommodation in the small village of Ankovana, located on the Masoala Peninsula in the northeast of Madagascar.
A room for the night costs 5,000 Ariary (2014),there is no electricity or running water. In the evenings the landlady will prepare very delicious Malagasy meals. Depending on the season, guests will find beside the obligatory huge portion of rice also steamed vegetables, cucumber salad, fried egg and sometimes even fried meat on the table.
