Antsalaka is located about 600m above sea level and usually experiences much rainfall during the summer months. The area is rich in rice farming and vegetables and tropical fruits, such as maize, carrot, sweet potato, haricot, tomato, pineapple, guava, papaya, mango, lychee etc.
