Anjahakely Tree Nursery was established in 2008 to help preserve the environment in the Andrafiamena Andavakoera protected area in north Madagascar.
Trees planted are Schizolaena viscola, an endemic species and lemur food source, while Breanadia salicina and Intsia trees are planted at the source of rivers to protect the river systems. Albizia lebeck are planted as forage for livestock.
Various palms and Dracaena trees are planted around Black Lemur Camp for decorational purposes.
