Ananalava is an isolated coastal village within the Mahajanga province in the north west of Madagascar. During wet periods, this village can be reached only by a boat or light plane. There is an airfield (which may have flights by Air Madagascar).

There is a regular boat service from Antsohihy all year round. During dry periods, the town can also be reached by taxi-brousse.
