Visitors may A stay at the last camp before the summit for one night or two nights longer before setting off on the final stretch may be necessary as access to the summit depends on the weather. During much rainfall, steep slippery trail slopes make the path impassable. Under good weather conditions, the approximately two-kilometre distance to the summit will take about two and a half hours. The total ascent is 812 metres and the elevation at the summit is 2,132 metres.

Even on an all-sunny day and for reasons a meteorologist may best explain, the peak is more often than not enveloped in a cloud but which occurs somewhat less frequently in the early morning hours. Heading Set off for the peak summit as early as 4.30am/5am and bring breakfast for the summit to hopefully enjoy clear views and to experience the sunrise from above the clouds.
