It is considered ''[[fady]]'' by the locals to visit the island; as it is believed death will occur follow to those who step ashore, as . As such, the island remains uninhabited and boat transfers are not available or nor recommended. One may however admire the view of the island from a safe distance of the shore along Boulebvard Duplex, about 10 minutes drive from Diego town.  [[Note Bleue|Note Bleue Park Hotel]] offers a perfect nice view of the island from its restaurant and swimming pool area.
