The Malagasy air borders are closed again. Madagascar will no longer welcome passengers from abroad regardless of their origin. The government has taken this step in order to prevent Covid-19 variants circulating around the world entering Madagascar. After the suspension of international flights to Madagascar at the end of March, no other passenger transport will be authorised from abroad. Private flights, tourist flights to Nosy Be as well as domestic flights to some regions are suspended. Regarding repatriation flights performed by Air France between Antananarivo - Paris - Antananarivo, planes should return back empty to Madagascar as was already the case last year.
'''8 April 2021:''' 253 new cases out of 680 performed tests were recorded on April 6. That is a positivity rate of 37.2%. Seven corona related deaths occured on the same day in Madagascar.
